Hello!I use ram corsair vengeance 8gb dual channel blue at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24.By default they were working at 1333 and had to enable XMP to get them to 1600hz and max is 2100+.I would like to reach 1866mhz and I would like to ask if I also have to change the cas latency.I ask this because at official corsair site the same ram of 1866 has 9-10-9-27 tested so if I am to get 1600mhz version up to 1866mhz would I also have to change this or keep it the same? Thanks in advance!

yes you are correct, you'll need to change it to what the website says. Make sure you have the correct model ram so that you use the right timings.

In short, lower numbers mean less latency, but higher frequencies require slightly more latency, hence the increased values.

update:increased to 1866mhz and latency numbers changed automaticaly to 11-11-11-28 no idea if these numbers are ok but i feel that they might be higher than needed?

update:although cpu-z was showing dram freq at 900hz and latency 11-11-11-28 easytune and bios was still showing 1600mhz and 9-9-9-24.I closed XMP coz i thought that this was may interfering, save and exit and bam memory error popped on screen and entered bios to enable XMP again at 1600.Any ideas what went wrong?
