Question Ram only clocking at 2133mhz

Hello, I am building a Pc, however the RAM is only clocking at 2133mhz despite the he ram being 3600mhz. I am making use of duel channel. My cpu is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x and my motherboard is a MSI b450 gaming pro carbon AC. My ram is 16gb Corsair 3600mhz DDR4. I tried going into bios and changing it to 3600mhz however this crashed my whole system and now I think I will have to reinstall windows.

There are memory preset settings in the bios via xmp. Search xmp to get an idea what to look for.

Xmp sets dram voltage and timings for the ram to run at those speeds. 2133 is standard ddr4 speed at 1.2v. 3600 requires 1.35v which setting xmp will adjust automatically amongst other settings.

The specifications say that the maximum speed for the motherboard is 3466MHz so it's unlikely you will ever get 3600 MHz.

Also note that, by definition, overclocking is working outside the guaranteed parameters. If the speed was within the parameters it wouldn't be overclocking.
