Hey there,I've got a problem with OC my RAM.
My specs:
MoBo: MSI B350 Tomahawk
RAM: GSkill Aegis 16gb 3000MHz(2x8gb sticks)
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x

When i try to set my ram to 2933 it wont post. It just turns on and off for a few times, and then my BIOS reset
the value of the ram to 2133,which is default.
I've tried even setting the speed to lower than 2133 and it didn't post either.
XMP also didn't work, even tried to set voltage to 1.35V.....
I check if the RAM was supported on the motherboard website, and it is.
I've had no problem OC my CPU,but I think the CPU isn't causing the problem, because RAM OC doesn't work even when CPU OC is disabled.

Any thoughts? Thanks for reading, have a great day.

Are you also setting your infinity clock to a 1:1 ratio (FCLK to 1/2 of your ram speed)? Also try setting the ram speed to 2667MHz. That's the max memory speed your CPU is officially rated to support.
Thanks for the reply,I appreciate it.

I'll try that in a bit,but here's the update of the situation:

I took one of the sticks out and the overclock works. So why does dual channel OC not work?
When both of the sticks are in the system they are in slots 2 and 4.

Possible you either have a bad stick or bad mobo. Swap the sticks and see if it works fine as well (after you tried what I told you previously of course). Then run a few stress tests to confirm stability. And if both work fine on their own try the sticks together again in other configurations (in slots 1-3, 3-4, 1-2, etc).
