RAM performance is below expectations

Hi guys, I have AMD FX 8320E and Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x8GB on Gigabyte 990X board - my ram performs way bellow expectations (35% - average is 45%) - CPU overclocked (4ghz) / RAM overclocked (2133) - any suggestions?

You need to explain what you mean by "my ram performs way bellow expectations (35% - average is 45%)". Do you mean that it's slower than it should when you benchmark it or that memory utilization averages 45% (depending on what runs on your system, it may be normal)?

What are the timings of your RAM? Is it running in dual channel mode? Multi core results are not good, but the Single core and Latency are fine. Is Windows set to high performance? If you want good benchmark results, then you need to use all possible tricks to achieve it. Why are benchmarks important?

at the moment it's 1866

CPU-Z says single, AMD OverDrive Dual.
Didn't noticed any meaningful difference as I tried both ways - just one way I can't clock memory any higher than 1600.

High performance is on.

It's not about benchmark results, but more about overall performance - I see how it influence my render times, and overall system response on load.

I would like to balance this machine not just raise clock speeds (it helps, but there is probably not a solution when someone runs same ram / same cpu and get much better results)

Have you any ideas?
Can it be software issue?
Hardware?
Any specific benches?

CPU-Z says single; the MC results seem to confirm it's in single channel mode. An easy way to be sure is to remove one module and run the benchmarks again.

doh.. that's was my fault. One module was not installed properly. Have no idea how other test went bellow expectation as I benched it around 10 times, with different slots and timing and so on.. must be human error

Now I got 18 GB/s on multi core (single core still "weak" 10 GB/s).

Can I improve it somehow?

Single core is very good; you'd have to buy modules with better specs to improve it, but it won't make much of a difference in games and applications.
