Hi, I'm looking to add memory to my laptop (has 4gb inbuilt)

Is there any difference between https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?partid=KVR26S19S6/4 (priced lower) and https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/search?partid=KCP426SS6/4

I checked the compatible systems list, mine isn't listed for the one priced lower (part KVR26S19S6), will it still work?

Make and model laptop? Version/revision.? You might also need the Serial Number.....

If the laptop's compatibility list does not include the RAM under consideration then that RAM is unlikely to work.

And even if it does work that could be problematic and you would have on-going problems.

Go to the laptop's manufacturer's website and search for a listing of supported RAM via the QVL (Qualified Vendor's List).

Also find the applicable User Guide/Manual or other manufacturer documentation regarding the installation of additional RAM.

Check any Forums and FAQ's as well.

Verify all specs and requirements. Pay attention to fine print, caveats, and warnings.

Yes that is the RAM part KVR26S19S6 I found cheaper than part KCP426SS6/4

Added a Crucial 4gb memory 1 & 1/2 years ago which stopped working one week back so I'm looking for new one.

My original Samsung memory (https://semiconductor.samsung.com/dram/module/sodimm/m471a5244cb0-ctd/) on my ~3 year old laptop is still working.

Do you think KVR26S19S6 will work on it or I need to get KCP426SS6 ?

will see if i can get replacement for crucial (back up option)
