Hi all,

Well this morning when I turned on my PC I notice it's only recognizing 4GB of the 6GB of memory I have installed. So I tested each stick out, and low and behold one of the sticks is faulty. So I'm looking into a replacement. I was looking at getting:

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=186_538_914&products_id=15459

*All prices are in Australian Dollars

My current rig is:

i7 930
ASUS P6X58D-E Mobo
gtx 470

All compatible? Opinions? Better options?

Thanks for the help.

The same exact kit is only $100 at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224

There are plenty of less expensive kits available from Newegg, all of comparable performance and quality. Many of the $70-75 kits also offer $20 rebates.

Here's a link to all of Newegg's 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3-1600 kits sorted by least expensive to most expensive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007611+600006076+600006127&QksAutoSuggestion=&ShowDeactivatedMark=False&Configurator=&IsNodeId=1&Subcategory=147&description=&Ntk=&CFG=&SpeTabStoreType=&AdvancedSearch=1&srchInDesc=

Also, keep in mind that most memory manufacturer's offer lifetime warranties on their DIMMs. You may want to contact the manufacturer of your current memory and request an RMA replacement.
