RAM showing as 2133 Mhz instead of 3000 Mhz

Hi,

I own a Ryzen 7 2700x and I've got 3000 Mhz of RAM, 2x 8GB sticks and it only shows as 2133 Mhz of RAM on CPU-Z. I have an ASUS B450 plus Motherboard which accepts 3200 Mhz+ of RAM and I've set the D.O.C.P (equivalent to XMP) and it still shows as 2133 Mhz. Am I missing something, or understanding something incorrectly?

The RAM is Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz.

The BIOS is updated. This is a concern as being an owner of a 2700x, it affects performance.

Thanks!

Ryzen Master is an AMD utility to monitor the Ryzen CPU and memory. It also can be used to overclock the processor and memory. It is somewhat like the motherboard utility applications.

Here is an article on...
Try deleting the Ryzen Master application. There have been many issues with the frequency of the RAM or CPU being "stuck". There isn't a common fix. Deleting the Ryzen Master and using the motherboard utility or BIOS to set the overclock is priobably the best choice.

What is the memory frequency reported in the BIOS? What is the reported memory frequency in the motherboard utility application? It could just be problem with CPU-Z.

I'm not sure where I can find that.

It's 2133 in the BIOS and task manager too. And I don't have Ryzen master.

I am about to go to bed so I can't check, but I had a look at the SPD tab, I'll check the memory tab tomorrow, however in the BIOS and task manager it still shows 2133 mhz. does this matter?

Thanks!
