Ram slot problem

I have a Sony Vaio svf152a29m laptop. So today i bought 1 stick of ram. I opened up my laptop was trying to put it in.I removed the first stick so i could put the new one underneath. When that was in, then i put the old one to the other ram slot and it doesnt put in as it should, tried putting the new one there didnt work. The ram doesn't go all the way in. The other slot works just fine. Can somebody tell me the problem?

Strange, are there any wires that might be going against the dims?
