Hello everyone yesterday i had my parts delivered after that i builed the pc and guess what slot 1 didn't worked,pc did start fans full speed after 10 secs 4 long beeps and one short pc shutdown start and do the the looop endlesly. Then i removed the ram from 1st slot tired with 2nd same result
changed to 3rd slot and i was able to start the pc install windows go to bios etc. then again changed the slot to 4rd and pc booted again. the ram is 2x8 kit they work i tested them one by one in 3/4 slot they work both or single .i removed the battery, removed the cpu and paste it again, checked for bent pins didn't found.untighten the cpu a bit i readed about cpu preassure but same result..now i don't know what to do.The pc run fine but kit is useless if i don't use it in dual channel and im thinking to the mobo is defective or ram? should i return the motherboard and get another or im screwed ? sorry for my bad english.

Solution

It could just be a isolated issue with your board, getting the same thing would probably work fine but the Asus might be a better choice (I prefer Asus over Gigabyte if budget allows).
Dual channel memory needs to be in slots 1/3 or 2/4, if they aren't working it may be a issue with the memory or motherboard.

i have tested each stick and they work but motherboard don't turn if i place it in first slot 1 and 3

Then more then likely it's a issue with the motherboard but what I would try is downloading the newest BIOS for the motherboard and once it's complete try the memory in slots 1/3 again and see if it works. If not you may need to RMA the motherboard for defective slots or at the very least let Gigabyte customer service know and see if they can further assist you.

i updated the bios to the latest still same result.maybe i have defective motherboard also i already send ticket to gigabyte and the shop i bought the mobo have 30 days return period and now im not sure what motherboard to get ASUS PRIME B360M-K or something similar.

Solution
So i recevived answer from Gigabyte and it is:
"Dear sir,

In this case, you should apply for warranty at the local vendor you've bought the motherboard from, as it appears there is a physical problem regarding those particular RAM slots.

Best regards,

GIGABYTE team"

now im waiting return process to be completed and ill be fine i think.

now i have another problem cpu is i5 8400 but running hot and fan is very loud and idle temps are between 40-45 graduses core voltages go up to 1.234 v is this normal?

The stock voltage is fine, as for the cooling if your using the stock Intel CPU cooler then that's your issue as it's a piece of junk. Pretty much any aftermarket cooler would be better but the Cryorig H7 is a good choice.
