so im buying and building my own pc and im planning to buy the MSI H170 Gaming M3 Motherboard DDR4 now i want to buy 16gb ram and i do live in the UK btw and will be purchasing from amazon UK.

now i think this motherboard only has 2133mhz or what ever for RAM so i want to know is that fast enough for gaming/video editing and what RAM shall i buy remember im from the UK and from amazon and i dont want to spend too much

also i did see this but i dont know it seems a bit expensive https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2A2133C13-Vengeance-2133Mhz-Performance/dp/B0123ZCD36/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479922399&sr=8-3&keywords=2133mhz%2Bddr4&th=1

thanks

Video Editing benefits from many things (Gaming benefits from * things)

Moving to Z170 and even X99 platforms (depends on app used)
More threads - Broadwell Series > I7's > i5's (depends on app used)
More RAM *
Faster RAM *
Lower Timings *
Faster Storage * (just loading time for games
Overclocked CPUs

Of course every improvement comes with a cost increase. If you a hobbyist doing occasional youtube videos move up as far as ya can within budget. If you doing it to make money, then every investment to move up will have a positive ROI. A $2000 extra investment will pay for itself with increased billings within a matter of weeks.

i understand so if i was to get this motherboard AsRock Z170 Pro4 Skylake ATX Motherboard i would be able to get ddr4 3200mhz memory + with oc and for the same price as the 2133mhz i can get the same but a 3000mhz version

2133mhz https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2A2133C13-Vengeance-2133Mhz-Performance/dp/B0123ZCD36/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1479922399&sr=8-3&keywords=2133mhz%2Bddr4&th=1

3000mhz https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2B3000C15-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B0134EW7G8/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1479925060&sr=1-1&keywords=ram

so pretty much the same price so would it be worth getting that z170 mother board instead of the msi h170 m3 just for the ram it costs around a few £ pounds more so its not a big deal what you think?

The CPU and if OCing the CPU is the determining factor in what you can run as the MC (memory controller) is in the CPU. For a K model CPU the sweet spot on Z170 is 3-3200 for price to performance, preferably with a lower (24-25) CL. I'd look at the Ripjaws V or Trident Z from GSkill
