Hello,
I had my computer since approximately 2 or 3 years, it is my first one and every component of my pc where bought new ans I currently have a probleme changing my ram to 3200mhz
My specs;
Asus Tuf B450 plus-gaming
Rtx 2060
Ryzen 5 3600
Corsair vengeance 3200mhz DDR4 (2 x 8go)
M’y computer worked well for the first year and in the first years changing my ram speed wasn’t a problem. I went into the BIOS, turned on D.O.C.P and everything worked well at the first try. After a years after a hard restart, my pc had a problem that I couldn’t find any help for it. The pc was starting, all the leds where light up but nothing was showing on the screen. I already made a post about this in the past but nothing seemed to work. I brought my computer to a technician who manage to repair it. I don’t remember exactly how but I told me something about my mother board wasn’t working and after reinstalling something on it everything worked well. He told my that my processor wasn’t the best one for gaming and he taught me that maybe I gamed to much on it and made the mother board overheat or something like that. I bought a new cooler and everything worked great since my repairs.
Last week, I was thinking about updating my pc because the games ne logiciel I am using today need a little more ram to work perfectly. I checked in task manager to see how my ram was doing and saw that it was running on 2666 MHz. I tried to change it in my BIOS and still nothing, my pc boot and close 2 times, than put me on the American megatrend page and on the bios. My pc boot correctly and work when I choose to use 3000 MHz of ram in DOCP. I looked in task manager and it is showing me that it work on 3000mhz but every time I tried 3200mhz, it won’t worked.
I tried to augment my voltage to 1.4V in docp and it didn’t worked.
I updated my motherboar.
I am thinking if this is maybe linked to the technician work or not and I am also wondering if I could add 2 more of the same ram stick to my pc or it won’t work like my MHZ problem.
Thank you for your time and your futur help.
