[SOLVED] ram stuck to 2993 mhz

Hello, I currently have a Ryzen 5 2600 on a Asus B450m Tuf pro gaming

I have 4 sticks of teamgroup tforce tuf vulcan 8Gb 3200mhz.. I am currently running it on the max frequency that's said on the r5 2600 specs, but when I try to overclock it to 3200mhz using DOCP, my pc gets BSOD..
Current PC Specs:

Ryzen 5 2600
ASUS B450m tuf pro gaming
4x8 Tforce tuf vulcan 3200mhz
rx 570

Maybe somebody here could help me. Thanks in advance! Any help would mean a lot!

hello, it was set to 1.35, DOCP automatically sets it to 1.36 but gets BSOD after restarting

yes, that's where i set it to right now. But i was wondering why some can set their ram to 3200mhz on a b450m mortar max

i think personally u will not feel difference between 3000 and 3200mhz only make more heat for your system...your mobo works with ram 2666 max speed u already OC and that is the limit

yeah, might get a new one soon.. my system's not that powerful so i thought i shouldnt get a good one yet..

i was reading other threads and they say that sometimes it depends on the motherboard not just the cpu

The R5 2600 should actually do 3200 MHz fine and the board is capable of doing it too.
I'm currently running my 2600 with memory overclocked to 3466 MHz without any issues.

I have a 3200 MHz kit, but to reach 3466 MHz I increased DRAM voltage to 1.38V and SOC voltage to 1.1V. Otherwise I'm stable at 3200 with only enabling XMP.

OP has 4 ram modules. You most likely have only 2.

That's a fair point, but I'd still think that 3200 is doable with a bit of tuning. Maybe using Ryzen DRAM calculator.

update:


set tuning to DOCP by 3200mhz
changed dram and soc voltage as mentioned 1.38 and 1.1

ran apex legends, BSOD's before the match starts.. :\

It depends on the quality of the silicon of the memory controller if Ryzen 2xxx can go higher than 2933Mhz. Having 4 sticks rather than 2 is also not going to help.
