[SOLVED] Ram Upgrade - 4 GB + 8 GB?

I have two sticks of 4 GB RAM in my PC and I was wanting to upgrade for the new COD. Would it be okay to a 4 GB RAM stick and an 8 GB RAM stick?

My motherboard only has two RAM slots.

I am currently using this ram.

That would generally be a bad idea, as at least some, if not all, of the memory would be running in single-channel mode, which hinders performance.

Matched sticks run in dual channel mode.

The best bet would be to buy a 2x8GB kit, and sell off the RAM you currently have.
