Hello ,

Upgrading the ram of my laptop Lenovo ThinkPad x131e is said to require :

4GB PC3-12800 (1600Mhz) 204 pin DDR3 SODIMM

MemoryMan offers this specification as written above for 46 dollars but also as a version with the suffix "CWM" for 37 dollars. CWM is said to be an abbreviation for ClockworkMod.

Which version would be best for my computer ?
Is the CWM version acceptable ?

Thanks,
Bass301

ClockworkMod, abbreviated as CWM, is a popular custom recovery for Android phones so it has nothing to do with memory.

I have noticed that some sites mention it has CWM in SKU (Stock Keeping Unit). I would still go with the normal memory if its urgent else give it a try and RMA it if it doesn't work. Try other sites like Kingston, Crucial, Memorystock.com etc for comparing prices.. you may get a nice deal.

Good Luck!!!

Some of the eBay memory modules are generic so be cautious about those kind and if you can afford, then go for some major brand memory. To measure the performance you will have to run a benchmark or give a load of work to the computer with just the default memory and then give the same amount of work when you have the new memory along with the old. Hopefully, you will be able to notice the difference.
