Hello there! Im looking to upgrade my 4 GB of ram to 10 GB. I currently have 2x2GB DDR3 1600 installed, and im planning to buy a 4 GB and a 2 GB. CPU-Z Says my channel # is Dual. Does this mean I have to buy ram with dual channel kits? Will I have a problem with mixing so many sticks?

Solution
Memory is guaranteed to be compatible in the form sold. Any other combinations have no guarantee to work together and are done on a "do it yourself" compatibility testing basis as the old memory has never been tested with the new memory.

It is recommended to use a single kit with a lifetime guarantee. Buying single modules are only guaranteed to work as singles and are not meant to be combined.
