RAM Upgrade Inquiry

Hello.
I have a Kingston HyperX Fury (2133) 8 GB RAM stick on my Z170I motherboard. I am planning to get another stick. Is it OK if I get a 16 GB stick of the same speed and brand?

There is always a chance that two different RAM sticks(even if the same brand and spec) will not play nice together although it is rarely an issue. You should be fine.

The "safest" course of action is to buy a new 2x8GB kit. they are guaranteed to work together.

Adding a second 1x8GB stick SHOULD be fine though. Yes I would keep it the same.
