Will this 'Corsair CMY16GX3M2A2133C11R Vengeance Pro Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133Mhz CL11 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Red' work with my Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3?

Also when put RAM into any computer is it plug in and play? or is there updates and software you need to install?

Yes you can run the modules , just select XMP profile 1 in the BIOS.
