[SOLVED] RAM Upgrade, speed vs GB

Hi,

I am looking at my next PC upgrade and need some advice. Current setup:
Ryzen 5 1600X
RX580 8GB
16GB DDR4 2400 (1 stick)

PC is used for gaming and photo editing primarily.

I've seen a lot online about how important RAM speed is with AMD CPUs, as well at having dual sticks, so am I better off replacing my single 16GB stick with 2 x 8GB 3200 or getting the same stick again and having 32GB 2400 dual? Both work out about the same price except for any money I could claw back by selling by existing stick if I went for the first option.

I know some people will tell me to get 32GB (16x2) @ 3200 but I want to keep costs down.

If you but the same stick again , it may not be compatible with the old one , even if identical. Better off getting a new set.
