Question ram upgrate problem

hello , i had 8gb 1 stick ddr4 19cl 2666mhz laptop ram it worked on 1333 mhz, i upgrated with 2 sticks 16gb same 19cl 2666mhz ,but it runs now at 17cl 1197mhz {2400mhz} ,my laptop bios doesnt have advanced bios and xmp profiles, so why installed memory didnt go for 2666mhz but 2400mhz and can it be fixed tnx

well, 2666 is fastest it can run, I see that

Adding 2 reduced this to 2400 as well - link - same laptop

it could be something to do with the device.

Generally - if bios lacks options for manual ram configuration, then only automatic ram configuration is available.
It works depending on available spd profiles.
Your ram probably has profile for 2400mhz mode, but lacks spd profile for 2666mhz mode or requires use of XMP for it.

but i dont extend it i just replace with 2 new sticks which are the same even same model with the original one just bigger size

Well - your ram has spd profile for 2600mhz mode. So it should be able to use that.

BTW - what model cpu is in your laptop?

intel 9300h ,it supports 2666mhz also if it didnt why og ram stick was working on 2666 before i remove it can it be a problem with the undervolt of it ?

Yes, but I just thought it might be something with using 2 sticks in that model. It was an example showing its what happens, its unclear if their reasoning was correct.
