Hello,

Recently I noticed that my computer's physical memory averages around 27-28% at idle, and uses 2.5gb or RAM at idle. I was wondering if this is normal. I don't have any clue of the brand my RAM is but I know that its a generic brand that I picked up at bestbuy, and it is ddr3 2x 4gb. I was wondering if this is normal, or something may be messed up. I have included a link to a picture of all the processes that are currently running. http://imgur.com/dFrOL8F

Thank you! Do you recommend I upgrade to 16gb? Do you think it will increase FPS as im playing a game?

8GB should be all you need for todays gaming and needs so unless you're doing something that requires more memory it isn't needed. You could always track your memory usage while gaming to find out if you need more using programs such as msi afterburner or hwinfo. Also adding additional memory will not provide you with any more FPS while gaming.
