Hello people. I am having a problem where with certain games, usually triple A games. My ram usage will climb slowly as I'm playing it and eventually say something along the lines of "you have no more video ram or ram and the game has crashed please play on lower settings" or something to that effect.

Lowering graphics does not make much of a difference in these games and the issue persists. And also even after closing the game the ram never goes back down to a "normal" amount for what I have open.

If I ever wanna play one of these triple A level games, I have to basically restart my pc every 3 or so hours to keep playing. Which is annoying. I have pics of the issue for evidence.

The first image, is before starting up the game, the second is when initially starting the game up and running it for a bit, third is after a couple hours, fourth is after closing the game.

I can see that the committed ram?? Goes up but idk what to do to prevent this from crashing my games :|

Pls send help

Please mention the titles in question and where you sourced the installer for said games.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Hogwarts legacy, Ratchet and clank rift apart, Star Wars Fallen Order, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mad Max, Mount and blade 2 bannerlord, Sekiro Shadows die twice, Spider-Man remastered, Mass effect 1-2-3 on legendary edition. Some of these games aren't triple A but most are or at least it seems they're more graphically demanding at least? with mount and blade I think it's the battles that's making my ram climb. All installed through steam

CPU: Intel i7-9700k
CPU cooler: noctua nh-L9i cooler
Motherboard: Z390 aorus pro

Bios version in my system information says american megatends inc f11 10/15/2019. Not sure if that's what you're looking for
SMBIOS version 3.1?

PSU is about like I wanna say 7 years old now? Built the PC in 2016ish

How full is your OS drive?

It would be helpful if you actually showed what processes that memory usage was being attributed to.
Experiment ran again with proccesses ss'd below: Including the error box I get when the game crashes :|
First image is processes with bunch of stuff open on fresh restart followed by with the game running, followed by the processes when the game crashed, it basically stayed at around 6-7k mb ratchet and clank with rest being bout the same.

So it's definitely not actually memory usage which means it's probably paging file related (which is usually either lack of storage space or windows settings). It'd be worth checking your virtual memory settings in windows to see if it's set to automatic management.

settings -> system -> about -> "advanced system settings" on the right side -> advanced -> settings under performance -> advanced -> change under virtual memory
