RAM usage stuck at 15.5 Gigabytes?

Hi all,

So 1.2 years after building my current desktop, it started having unusual problems lately eg. unable to find specific files, Chrome operating slowly, etc. and I thought it was a hard drive problem, but after opening up task manager, it showed that I was using 15.5 GB out of 16GB of RAM even though I only have 6 static tabs open on chrome. Is it a virus? If it is can someone please recommend me a free virus-scanner and remover? Any input is appreciated.

sounds like a virus. open up msconfig tab go to start up tab turn everything off and reboot. if the ram amount drops...could be a virus loading in start up. run malware buyes and hitman pro..you may have to run them in safe mode.

Make sure you download and update your Bios and drivers from your PC manufacturer's website.
