Hello ,
Its my first post about a problem that i cant find an answer for the last 8 months.
I bought a kingston hyper x savage 8GB (2x4) DDR3-2400 CL11

In the bios the frequency is set to auto at 1600 mhz and the voltage at 1,65v.

The JEDEC standard electrical and
mechanical specifications are as follows

JEDEC: DDR3-1600 CL11-11-11 @1.5V

• XMP Profile #1: DDR3-2400 CL11-13-14 @1.65V

• XMP Profile #2: DDR3-2133 CL11-13-13 @1.6V

I am experiencing random bsdo once a month.(ntoskrnl.exe)

I can play for hours BF3 , Rome 2 without issues BUT Company of heroes 2 cant start at all and i have hard freezes...need to hard reset.

All i need to know is if the voltage is too high. (maybe is that causing COH 2 to crash every time)

My specs are:
Asrock 970 pro3 2.0 AM3+ socket
R9 280 3G Sapphire
Coolermaster 650 W PSU
WD C BLUE 1T
AMD FX 6350
nothing is OC and i dont plan to OC.
Thanks in advance.

Hi manthos,
I'm Jewel with Kingston HyperX Technical Support US team, here to help. Not sure from your description but have you tried setting the memory to the default speed and timings DDR3-1600 @ 1.5V. If so, does it behave the same way?
Running the memory up to 1.65V is not too high and is within XMP standards. For direct assistance, please refer to case SR277043 and reach our support team in your area here: kingston.com/company/contacts#tech

Thank you for using HyperX memory!

Thank you Jewel for your reply.
Since i built this rig i was experiancing strage behavior like random freezes or bsod while i was doing random things, like using youtube or listenig music.
NEVER had freezes or blackscreens when playing demanding games EXPECT with Company of heroes 2 which is unplayable for me.(hard freezes)
So the past week i got into the bios and i saw DRAM VOLTAGE 1,65 (left side) and AUTO (right side) and frequency at 1600 mhz (AUTO)
The JEDEC standard specifications FOR MY RAM are

JEDEC: DDR3-1600 CL11-11-11 @1.5V

Why my mobo reads it 1,65?

I ve set the voltage manually to 1,5 v and it seems ok the past 3 days ( i mean things aren't got worse). I havent tried COH 2 yet ( i need to install it again).
I will update the post after i try to play COH again.

That is strange, the memory should set at 1.5V automatically. I suggest running memtest on the memory since you have it at the default timings and voltage now and see if it comes up with any errors. If it does then contact our support in your region for a warranty replacement. Considering the behavior and the fact that it wanted to go up to 1.65V automatically is a bit hinky to say the least.

Well , what can i say.
The shop i bought it from tested the machine 70 hours with prime and the said there was ok , no errors at all.
If ram is faulty (lets say) how can i play games for hours without a single problem?
Random bsod (once a month) or COH 2 cant even start or freezes in main menu made me suspicious.
I will run memtest and i will update.
Thank you very very much again for your advice and thoughts.
