ram will not fit in all the way on my laptop

So i have a ASUS K53E and already had 2gb of RAM installed so i went out and bout a additional 2 gb ram, both sticks are exactly same size but neither would fit into the secondary slot, can anyone help

Did the original RAM physically fit into the slot that you are having trouble with?

I had the same laptop and also decided to upgrade ram at first i was having same problem but what you have to do is push it right in until it clicks.. you may think your going to break it but you wont just push it in as hard as you can, these ram slots are hard to insert ram
