Question RAM Won't Boot Over 3200Mhz

Hi,

I have upgraded from my very old RAMs to G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR4 3600MHz CL14 Trident Z Neo, my MOBO is Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4, they should be compatible at least what I found out.

The Issue is, I can't get it running over 3200MHz. When I enable XMP with AUTO (3600 MHz) System Modifier, system won't Boot. I have to set System Memory Modifier just to 3200MHz, anything with higher frequency just won't boot. My goal is to reach 3600MHz which RAMs should perform.

I know my MOBO can do 3200MHz in default, but up to 5333MHz with OC, so 3600MHz with XMP (as OC) should not be problem, should it?

Please, how can I achieve 3600 MHz? I have tried to increase DRAM Voltage by little bit with XMP enabled to OC RAMs, but that just didn't increased RAM Speed, just Voltage.

(CPU is i7-12700KF if that info is needed.

Thanks for any answer.

I can't believe you bought that board to run that processor OUCH.
Intel is not as memory dependent as AMD I would just run it 3200 and call it a day.

You might want to update the bios and get that out of the mix.

Thanks for reply, but I have standard version of MOBO, with BIOS version from 8/8/2022, which is the latest: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B660M-GAMING-DDR4-rev-10/support#support-dl

You have posted link to AX version of MOBO and it's BIOS vereions.

Bob.B and SkyNetRising thank You for Your help! I somehow stupidly overlooked newer version of BIOS, anyway after BIOS update I can run RAMs at 3600MHz with no issue
