Question ram wont go over 1400mhz

so I have Kingston hyperx fury 8gb stick ddr4 CPU is ryzen r5 1400 3.7ghz on an asrock b350m-hdv.I recently bought a new SSD a reinstalled windows since them my ram has been posting as 1400mhz idk if its just an issue of windows giving me bad info or what? any ideas?

Where are you seeing that 1400MHz? Bios or cpu-z?

task manager , performance , ram , speed : ?
number could be a different thing to do with ram maybe 🤔

CPUz will show the non DDR MHz so 1400MHz would be DDR4-2800.

I would recommend you go on the bios and go single channel if you're doing dual channel right now. And reset and go into windows. If that doesn't work go back into dual channel put it 100-200mhz faster and see what happens.

The slowest DDR4 is DDR4-2133 which runs at 1066MHz. There isn't a single standard that runs at a non DDR speed of 700MHz, the closest would be DDR3-1333 which runs at 667MHz. Due to this the best conclusion to make is that you are getting the reading of what speed the RAM runs at instead of what its effective rate is on the package.
