Hello guys!
I just built myself a new PC and I booted it. I have a ASUS Z170 - A, a Motherboard that sincerely lights LEDs if something works or doesn't work. So according to one type of LEDs it reached POST stage, but also according to the so called DRAM_LED my RAM is either incompatible or I fit it in incorrectly, and it therefore does not enter BIOS. My sticks basically can't be incompatible with the Mainboard, since they are listed on the QVL in the internet (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/Z170-A/G10611_Z170-A_V2_WEB.pdf, page 24, second from below) and also in my User guide, which would imply that I fit them in incorrectly. But I plugged them in and out several times already, with no results so far. I have also tried booting with only one stick of the 4 installed, which got me the red light as well. I have tried the MemOK! function (which is usually just for incompatible RAM) and it brought me nowhere too. So that's why I'm here and asking if anyone knows what to do.
In case anyone cares, here are my specs:
CPU: Intel i5 6500
CPU Cooler: Alpenföhn Brocken Eco
GPU: Sapphire Radeon RX 480
RAM: G.Skill F4-2666C15Q-16GRR
PSU: Some Rhombutech ATX 12V
Thanks,
James Kirk
