Hi,

I have been getting random BSOD crashes today (has happened twice now) and would like to sort it out. The two crashes are the same and are as follows: (screenshots from blue screen view)

If anyone can help me identify what is causing this, that would be much appreciated.

Please let me know if there is anything I am missing to assist identifying this.

Thank you.

that one mentions 2 things that tell me its internet related

tcpip.sys - transmission control protocol/internet protocol - used by windows to talk to internet
netio.sys - network input output driver - lan drivers

I know you updated the drivers, do you Ethernet or WIFI?

i might be wrong but try updating vpn software ass well. this might be fine, its just old
Aug 01 2018tapsurfshark.sysTAP-Windows Virtual Network (NDIS 6.0) driver
I assume its part of Virtualbox
Hey,

I am using Ethernet.

My surfshark VPN has now been updated.

Anything else I should be doing/trying?

Appreciate your help as always.

Hey,

I am using Ethernet.

Have also updated surfshark VPN.

Any other suggestions?

Appreciate your help as always.

do you have anything on a local network there? what was talking to the cloud?

last one appeared to be a network device talking to internet,
pretty sure these are the same drivers I am using
Jun 15 2020e1r68x64.sysIntel(R) Gigabit Adapter driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/
version 12.18.11.1 - these are newest on the Intel support assistant so have to be same ones. they have the same date.
Not that I am aware of - just a typical home network.

Just using normal Ethernet for general use/gaming.

Only things i have is Google drive and dropbox in terms of cloud apps.

GCloud.exe appears to be Gigabyte Cloud station - wonder what application that is part of.
Notices you have same motherboard as me (Might have already), explains why LAN drivers are the same...

Looks through utilities list, I don't have any of them installed

Might be part of App Centre
wonder what Fast Boot app does.
System Info viewer is pretty useless
Smart Backup?
RGB Fusion - I doubt its part of this.

do you have cfosspeed installed? it can mess with networking
do you have easytune installed?

not sure what some do:
On/Off charge? (this must be the Apple charger)
Game Boost

You probably don't need any of them. I had RGB Fusion and the App centre for a while but I don't really need them, only used rgb to change the led strip on motherboard to match rest of my colours

Right i see.

So theres nothing to say whats definitely causing the BSOD? Just trying different things and hoping?

if it keeps crashing and not revealing a driver name, we can try running this but I don't want you to yet as it can cause boot loops... which is ironic since its part of windows

Right I see, so youre suggesting i uninstall everything from the Gigabyte app centre? Will this remove drivers though?

I don't normally blame the program that crashed, I was more trying to understand what it was part of so I could maybe figure out what might have caused it.

no, it just removes the apps. I would uninstall cfosspeed if its installed.

the program running looks like it was part of https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/us/Microsite/369/images/networking.html
but I don't have app centre on here now so I don't know if anything like that is on there. website looks old.
looks like its to talk to your phone maybe

Right i see, will have to have a play around and see what i can uninstall. Whats the best way i can then ensure i install any related drivers that arent necessary?

I had a look for cfosspeed in my driver list viewer and dont see that one.

Gardenman can convert or I can just tell you its Nvidia drivers

did you ever run ddu and reinstall them like I suggested before?

How do i know which ones are not needed and how to uninstall them?
Now I understand.

Did I ever show you this so you can see what you have?

Download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters often get it wrong)

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

that shows all drivers on your PC. If you lucky it has a creation date so you can see what year drivers are from.

Yep i sure did. Used DDU and am using the drivers from Windows update.

I have driverview from nirsoft but i really dont know what im looking for.

Its pointing to nvidia drivers but i have done the fresh install using the one provided by windows updates.

I really dont know what else to do.......

Shoot me if I already asked this, I don't see it:

CPU - R9 3900X
MB - Aorus X570 elite Wifi latest bios
Ram - 32gb G Skill F4-3600C16-16GTZNC
What Nvidia GPU?
storage?
PSU?

Just collecting info.

Driver view (2nd part of my instructions)
you can look through the drivers and try to find old drivers, or you can take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

I will see what is there I haven't already seen in dumps.

could run memtest but not sure its ram and it would take a while with 16gb sticks.

memtest instructions(in case you do)
Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it

Ive never had an issue until a few days ago, i dont understand what is happening.....

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER GAMING OC 3X WHITE 8GB Video Card
Storage: Samsung SSD 970 PRO 512GB NVMe
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB SATA
PSU: Corsair RM750x White Series 750W 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Can rule out RAM as i have tested these using memtest already and they are fine.

HTML report from driverview of all drivers: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/onj3q2p71ffwzzx/AADmZYv0Cagc_wXOJ_9PV8U4a?dl=0

Appreciate your help mate.

Please post a link to only new dump files, either in a new folder or a direct link to them. Otherwise I have to go back and try to determine which ones I've looked at so far, and then try to pick out only the new ones. Thanks.

I'll post results for what I assume is the newest one this time.

I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/hxuckbqg/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:071021-17781-01.dmp (Jul 9 2021 - 14:11:09)
Bugcheck:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process: fxksmdb.exe)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 5 Hour(s), 39 Min(s), and 34 Sec(s)

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

do you have a printer? only ask as program that crashed (victim, not cause) is part of xerox printer drivers.

i don't see anything on pc for a Xerox printer - http://windowsbulletin.com/files/exe/fuji-xerox/docuprint-p205-b/fxksmdb-exe

there is a patch on windows update for printer spooler, i wonder if its related.

error happened because CPU tried to access memory it didn't have permission to use

these are last 4 actions before bsod report was created, they are in reverse order. things at bottom happened first
only need to look at last text in lines

Page faults are normal actions of windows. It describes when the CPU doesn't have the information it needs on cache and it needs to look in ram
Access faults - Access faults happen as a result of failing a PMP check [1]. Roughly speaking, it means that the processor is trying to use memory that it does not have permission to use.
system fault and Bug CHeck are just aprt of the error process, as the Access fault was where it went all wrong.

Problem is I can't tell what driver is to blame as none is mentioned or I wouldn't have typed all this :)

Hmm I see. Yes, I do have a Xerox printer (CM205fw). Will unplugging it until i need to use it avoid the issue?

Do you have any advice on what i should be doing next? Really not sure why this is happening and how to fix it....

Ive never had an issue until a few days ago, i dont understand what is happening.....
If one thing I know, all problems happen suddenly. Its rare I help anyone who has had same problem for ages and not complained or looked for help
made any changes in recent weeks? any new hardware?

Your choice in parts is very similar to mine in some areas - https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/sLbY7X

could try running diagnostics on NVME - download Magician, and while you there could grab the NVME drivers as well as Magician probably needs you on them for it to see drive - https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/tools/

Can you download and run this for me, it will make a zip file. If you can upload zip I see if it is enlightening or not. - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/ (Do this before updating windows, if you choose to do so)

You are 2 versions behind on windows 10. although that doesn't normally affect bsod. Most of the changes in those 2 versions are bug fixes, so maybe.
if you do decide to update, click on 1st link here and it will download upgrade assistant. run it and it will update win 10 to 21H1

the non paged area is ram, it looks like a driver problem still. They aren't always easy to find.

Have been using magician for a long time. It is up to date and so are my SSD's.

Here is the zip from the bsod collection app: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yox9ftvyoi1by2g/AAC5JKKy51yefHWCCa2aT5-Ka?dl=0

Im pretty sure I am on the latest Windows? I do the check every few days: View: https://imgur.com/a/JBD7PKo

Okay I was just going from what last dump told me

Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS Personal
Built by: 19041.1.amd64fre.vb_release.191206-1406
BUILD_VERSION: 10.0.19041.1083 (WinBuild.160101.0800)
BUILD: 19041
SERVICEPACK: 1083
PLATFORM_TYPE: x64

but windows clearly is 21H1

Magician - try running diagnostics, just do a short smart scan. it doesn't take long, about 15 minutes. I did it a few weeks ago. 15 might be long scan, i can't recall exactly.

I will look at file shortly

etinit.exe - Gigabyte easy tune
etocfile.exe - Gigabyte easy tune
fxksmpl.exe - part of Xerox printer drivers

these 3 programs have crashed every day since 19th Feb 2021, sometimes many times. I would remove Easytune if you don't use it, update it if you do. .

One of the files in the zip = your system info screen. If you look on system information/Software Environment/Windows Error Reporting you see what I am looking at. ALmost every time I check these I see about 20 Application errors, not several hundred like what I see on your PC

Last 2 BSOD - 1 mentions Nvidia, the other appears to be the Xerox drivers themselves.
one on 7th mentions netio so lan drivers.
4th July Nvidia
June 30 - Nvidia (twice)
