Hi, ive been having crashing problems with my computer for quite a while, ive resorted to replacing a lot of the parts within my computer, this includes the PSU, GPU, CPU, CPU cooler, new stick of RAM, and a new motherboard. But i still get random crashes, there is no blue screen, but the entire computer freezes, and will not do anything no matter how long i wait, so i just have to restart it. These are my specs.

well what i have to say probably doesnt relate...but i'll share it anyways. i was having problems with my PC restarting and just plain failing to start. it would either restart and the power supply would kick on and off or when i would try and start it, i would just hear the PSU click on and then after 2 seconds it would click off. this loop would continue until i unplugged the computer. i figured out that if i unplugged every single modular cable from my AX860i power supply and reinserted them again the computer would boot just fine until the next time i shut it off and tried to turn it back on. this went on for about 8 months on and off. it seemed more humid weather would cause the problem to resurface again. finally, i went as far as to RMA the AX860i because when i tested an older Antec 500w PSU i got no problems at all. the PSU replacement i received gave me the same problems that i had. what i FINALLY figured out was it wasn't the PSU or the computer at all. i had been using a dvi-vga adapter on my second monitor from 2002 that came with a geforce 4 ti4400 GPU. as soon as i disconnected the second monitor the computer started up just fine and was stable on AIDA64+unigine valley benchmark for about an hour.

so anyways, see if it's any peripherals, perhaps older ones, that are causing the problem? i've had some really strange problems over the years. MSI afterburner was causing my computer to freeze, audio loop and hard restart and it took about 2 months of experimenting to actually figure that out.

also, please post your specs for your PC

If you've replaced all those parts and the PC is still crashing, then perhaps it's time to investigate software as the problem instead of hardware. There are many different approaches you could take; here are the three that I would try first:

1. Did the crashing begin shortly after installing a new application? If so--and if possible--consider doing a system restore to a time before the crashing started.

2. Try using Ccleaner to (1) do a simple clean and (2) to perform a registry fix (be sure to back up the current registry when Ccleaner asks you if you want to back it up).

3. Use the free version of Malwarebytes to perform a FULL scan.

My questions as well...

CPU power regulation, either from weak/hot motherboard VRMs or PSU, can cause instability
Fluctuating RAM voltage can also cause random instability
And if the RX 480 is new, could be a bad driver install. Make sure you update the GPU BIOS and drivers to address the PCIe power draw issue. Completely uninstall GPU drivers, reboot, install new GPU drivers, reboot.

Test these 3 key areas and see if that helps.

This error below is hardware based.

Questions
Did you overvclock your CPU? If yes set it back to normal clock.

When you installed your new graphics card did you remove old drivers and than download the latest version from the manufacturer? Recheck your ram that you installed. Remove it snd reboot see if your issues stop.

To save some typing read this which will give more options to test.
