Random FPS drops while gaming

Hi,
In most of the titles i play (GTA V, Rocket League, The witcher, Far cry 4 etc) while i am playing random fpd drops happens for 1 or 2 minutes, and after that, all return to normal and after normal gaming, it all happen again and again. i don't have idea of what the problem could be, i tried to overclock my cpu, but is not helping so i turned back on stock settings.
my system specs are:
- PSU corsair cx 750m
- MOBO asus m5a97 LE R2.0
- CPU AMD FX8320
- CPU COOLER cooler master hyper 412
- HDD WD caviar blue 1TB
- GPU Gigabyte GTX 980
- RAM 8x1 Corsair vengeace low profile

My first question would be what is going on in the 1 to 2 minutes of fps drop. If you are going through a city or dense forest I could see your cpu causing this if you are standing still and have these issues I might suspect the PSU as the Corsair CX series tend to be of lower quality

Reset graphics settings in nvidia panel to default for starters if you haven't already.

It happens even if i don't move in game, it's so strange.
the cx750m is not good? mmm...
