About every 20 seconds or so I get random frame rate drops from the 60's to the 20's and 30's. I have a gtx 1050 ti and I literally just exchanged it today for a new 1050 ti because I thought it was just a bad card. I have contacted NVidia customer support and they helped me to uninstall and reinstall the drivers but it did not fix the problem. Any help would be very much appreciated. :)

gpu - gtx 1050 ti
cpu - intel core i5 2500
psu - evga 450 watt bronze
8 gigs of ram

What kind of motherboard do you have? It could be that you're getting vrm throttling or another kind of overheating issue like that

how can I check what motherboard I have? I think its an ideacentre k330b? I'm not 100% sure
also I was checking HWmonitor while I was playing for honor and my gpu utilization seems to be reaching 99% could that be the problem?

For Honor is a pretty graphically heavy game so having your GPU running near 100% is pretty normal, as for your motherboard, you can usually check that in system info. If that doesn't work, there are 3rd party programs you can download to check.

how can I tell if my cpu is bottlenecking?
also idk if this makes a difference but my games use to run fine with my gtx 660 ti before I upgraded to the gtx 1050 ti. I had to upgrade because my gtx 660 ti went bad and started crashing and causing the screen to get all messed up.
