My computer keeps freezing randomly. I replaced my old hard drive but the freezing continued on a fresh install of windows. I've updated all of the drivers and I'm not sure whats causing the freezes.

Specs:
Mobo: MSI 760GM e51
CPU: AMD fx 8350
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
GPU: XFX R9 290 DD
PSU: Corsair RM650

Solution

.. Or, Windblow$ 8.1?! :-0

It's not going to crash / freeze @ all (Windows 7 and 8, bc those kinds of issues had been eliminated, for the most part), if you're using a licensed copy; & it sucks that your CPU doesn't have integrated graphics - so that you could test w/o the video adapter. Tried pulling-out some RAM?.. Because 99% it's a hardware issue, I'm guessing. :-D

Edit: Also have you checked the Event Viewer, to maybe see if it's -like- a Scheduled Task - or something? The Run... CMD, is: eventvwr.msc

*omg & there could be moar (?!):

Code:
