Here are the 3 videos I've taken ALL videos are time stamped to make it easier for you guys to find the stutters, GPU usage drops and also I think I found an artifact

Battlefield 1

Rise of the tomb raider (part 1)

Any help would be great guys <3

I would honestly use DDU and uninstall drivers and reinstall them. If that doesn't work, I say try a fresh copy of windows. If none of that works I would RMA the card. It's not normal behaviour and without microscopes, thermal cams and voltmeters, there is no way a general consumer could diagnose the issue.

Sometimes bad drivers or a bad copy/installation of Windows can do this but its rare. I have had it happen though with an RX 380 where I had to try 2-3 Windows install attempts to get the card to not run with ridiculously random spikes and drops.

windows 10 pro
9900k. No
16gb cl14 3200 2 sticks (23 passes of memtest86 no errors)

I've done a clean install of windows + drivers on a different SSD

Yeah I would say something isn't right there for sure. The safest thing to do would be RMA it or if you can in-store return.

If you check the 3rd vid onwards all my stutter goes away. As soon as I turn textures to low all my stutter/usage drops stop :/

When you start putting everything on low you're putting the workload on the CPU and not the GPU. It's possible that's why the stuttering goes away. It may be a faulty card but I can't say for certain. I did have some stutters in Battlefield 1 but that was primarily because of Windows 10 larest update and the current NVIDIA drivers. Everything I've read says Windows version 1607 does not have this issue but we can't roll back to that version because there are no NVIDIA drivers that support it using the RTX 2080. Just for the heck of it I installed Windows 7 and tried Battlefield. The game runs as smooth as butter. I've been testing this for 2 weeks now

I've ended up just RMAing the GPU....all my games were smooth af a week ago so idk what's happened :/ maybe my card went bad.

Can you go into detail into how I can check swap files?

Also the company that I bought the GPU from was able to replicate the problem

Also those freezes/stuttering are happening in game. My GPU usage is dropping suddenly then going back up which is causing the stutter.

When I get replacement GPU I'll test it

I can't find page file usage on MSI afterburner. Also why does the issue go away when I turned textures off?

your cpu has higher usage on low settings, which means is not bottlenecked when u use lower settings, since your GPU is not bottlenecking your CPU, then remains only RAM or harddrive (ie swap file)
can you post your userbenchmark score?

btw

I can't as my GPU went off to be tested and it was found to be faulty.

My ram past memtest86 23 times so I doubt it's that.

Also I have 3 SSDs and moved windows + games to a different one to test on. If my replacement GPU arrives again with the same fault I'm down to all my SSDs have gone bad, CPU fault, mobo fault or PSU fault. It could be anything.

Also I don't have pagefile usage on my MSI afterburner :/. under RAM I have something called "commit charge"

Well when XMP was disabled and my ram ran at 2400 + the timings were loosened (My ram is rated for 3200 cl14) the issue still happened. Also this is something that happened recently, around 2 weeks ago before this my PC ran fine so a PC part has probably gone bad. I'm hoping it was the GPU as OCUK was able to replicate my issue. If the issue continues next week I'll try the monitoring you've suggested.

If I do monitor commit charge what should I be looking out for in game?

Replacement GPU has come and I'm getting the same problem. PLEASE HELP

NEED HELP!!!!!

Look at videos above if you can I'm still getting the problem

your ram usage is quite high, i just tryied with mine r5 1600x / 1700ti /32gb ram and swap file disabled
8~9GB ram usage on 1080p ultra, 10~11GB ram usage on 4k ultra in that forest

you have around 10~11GB in swap file, thats really high even for SSD
maybe some background app?

ill check in a few with swap file enabled, but i doubt it would go that high

edit: no big diff with swap enabled
so cant blame ms for that

well anyway even with your current system (16gb ram), game is eating (for you) 18GB ram....but physical RAM is used just around 8GB while rest is swapped...i do wonder why.

go to system properties (in windows) then click on advanced system settings, under performance click on settings, on advanced tab make sure that programs are selected for allocation, and under virtual memory click on change, here disable that "automaticaly manage pagging file setting for all drives"
click on c: and click on custom size, initial size and maximum size set to 4096, click ok and reboot

if u cant find that
"C:\Windows\system32\systempropertiesadvanced.exe"
here is shortcut
