Hi Guys,

My config:

Amd Fx 8350 (Automatic OC to 4.2)
Msi 970 Gaming Motherboard
Sapphire Tri X R9 290
16 GB 2133 Mhz GSkill Trident
Crucial SSD 250GB B100 (Primary)
Western Digital Black 1TB (Secondary)
Cooler Master V 750W Gold Series PSU
Noctua NH-U14S Slim U-Series Single Tower CPU Processor Cooler
Noctua 140mm NF-A15-PWM Fan (Push-Pull Config)
Enthoo Pro Case with 7 Fans all Corsair AIr Series

Kindly excuse me for long explanation.

This was my first assembled PC about 12 months back. Initially I had luckily overclocked it till 4.3, manually but since it was my first time didnt go further and reverted to using OC Genie for automatic overclocking to 4.2 Ghz and only thing I changed was DRAM frequency value from default 1600 to 2133 Mhz.

The system ran very successfully until 3 days back while watching a youtube video it just shut down randomly. I thought maybe it a software issue and booted the system and it went fine. The next day it shutdown again , I tried rebooting but OS didnt load and it shutdown. Only on the 3rd try it started but only ran for like 10 mints hardly.

To be frank I didnt know what was the reason. I went through the forums and googled and tried out the below mentioned things:

Completely Cleaned the entire PC from Dust.
Removed CMOS Battery Shorted and installed back
Installed a completely new OS after full format and DOS Clean (Win 8.1 Pro)
Checked the temp using HW Monitor and CPU Z
Removed RAM and installed again

No Use it stays ON for like 30 mints and shut down and if I try rebooting it shuts down at windows login screen. But can stay infinitely on BIOS Screen.

If I switch on like after 10 mints then it will boot and hardly stay on for 5 mints.

The Temps which I get for CPU on medium load is like 28 - 34C and Graphics Card is like 40-44C idle. All Fans on 40%-50% output.

I read many people saying about the PSU. My PSU is running fine I guess (or at-least I thought till). Just now I switched off overclock (OC Genie) and set the DRAM values to default 1600 MHZ. And when restarted the windows doesn't even load and if I use the overclock again then it loads but runs for few mints and shuts down.

Which is strange, its like default doesn't load but overclock loads for few minutes.

I have no idea what is happening? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for a reply.. But Like I Mentioned.

I tried that, I turned off OC Genie, Put everything to default even the DRAM frequency to default 1600 Mhz value and tried to reboot, But as soon as Windows login screen comes it shuts down.

I know it sound funny, coz if I overclock then it runs for like 5 mints but doesn't even turn own if I use default setting. This is why I am more confused.

Thanks guys. .i just tried the ram first. I removed 1 stick and tried to boot so that i can go into bios and change all to default and then insert the second stick for boot up.

But now there is no display..my graphics card fans are running but no display..even on dvi (monitor) and hdmi (Tv).

I tried inserting both the rams but still same result no display.

This might be a noob question but i have had this running for past 1 year with no problems and now suddenly all hell lose. .if only i could figure out which component is at fault. Now even my graphics card won't work is it faulty now because of the random shutdowns? I am sorry i don't have a spare psu to check.

I don't know how far i can go to get the board. .But i have noticed something now..my pc doesn't make any beep sound. .even with all RAM sticks and hdd, ssd removed still no beep. ..i have no idea if post is working. ..i thought of getting a bios post speaker and try connecting it to the motherboard. .if it still doesn't function then i can be sure it's the mob..any suggestions ??

Also my gpu has 3 fans of which only the outer to fans should spin and not the central one .. the central one should only start spinning If i hit 60c i guess. .But the moment i switch on all the fans spin on my gpu. .can there be something wrong with the gpu??
