Hello, I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with my pc. Ever since I have moved and brought my pc with me it randomly reboots while I'm using it, with windows reporting error 41 in event viewer.
When moving I had to transport my pc on a plane so I removed every part and packaged each by itself and carried them in my backpack. I could not do this for the PSU and motherboard which for space reasons I had to keep in the pc case which i put in my check in suitcase. Because of this I suspected a PSU or motherboard fault, but even when swapping the PSU the problem persists.
I have done the following:
- Used a different PSU
- Stress tested the CPU and GPU
- Updated GPU drivers
- Ran chkdsk
- Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
All of the tests came out fine, and the temperatures for the CPU and GPU are good as well.
The reboots do not seem to relate to what I'm doing: I get reboots while I'm playing videogames, while its completely idle and sometimes even while rebooting.
Do you have any advice as to what could be the faulty component? I am considering buying a new motherboard as I suspect that may be the problem, but I would like to make sure that it is indeed the component that needs to be changed. Thank you!
