Random Reboots and Blue Screens

My friend decided to build a computer, knowing really nothing about it, and now, after it is finished, there are many, many problems with it.

From what I could get from him, the specs are:

-An ASUS motherboard based on the 890 GX chipset
-4 gigabytes of DDR3 1600 ram
-Phenom II X4 965 black edition processor
-Saphire HD 5830
-Antec 520 watt PSU
-2 TB HDD

From the first time the computer was turned on, the windows instillation would randomly freeze, bluescreen, or restart. After updating the BIOS we were able to get the computer stable enough to install windows. After that the computer apparently ran fine for about an hour or so before it started to crash again. When the bluescreens occurred, he told me he thought they were STOP code 0X024 for some and 0X01e for others. These happened during instillation as well. When the computer crashes, apparently there is something that flashes on the screen akin to video corruption for a fraction of a second before the computer restarts. Slowly, the restarts have become worse to where they happen a few seconds after he logs in.

I have had him run Prime 95 tests, memtest, and GPU tests, and the computer has never crashed during any of the tests, but immediately after he ends them. He said he believed memtest finished without error, and the others had no errors while they were running. He said the temperatures appear to be normal.

Based on all of this I believe the error is with the motherboard, but with the original video freezing during the windows setup and with the split second of video corruption, plus with ram in general, I would like to get a second opinion before I start having him RMA items.

Thank you for your help.
