Random Shuts down

Hi, i have been experiencing this problem for quite a bit now. My computer sometimes, completely randomly, will shut down and restart. I have updated everything in my computer. Whenever I go to event viewer, it doesn't really show anything that would cause my computer to restart. or randomly shut down. Just the critical kernal power, showing that it randomly turned off.
My specs are
8 GB Memory.
MSI radion r9 270x gaming edition, with fx 6300 processer 6 core

All my temperatures I think are good. Nothing is above 50c
Could it be my power supply? Not being able to functionally run everything? I really have no idea.
I have taken back my graphics card to exchange for another. with no help.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Solution
Wattage doesn't matter, quality does. A 500W power supply has the abiltiy to deliver 10,000,000 watts of power, as every PSU theoretically does. It'll just catch on fire or the protections will shut it down. "500W" is just a word, nothing else. It says zero about its quality. The EVGA 500W is poor quality. Buy something like an XFX Pro 550W instead.

Thanks for the reply, I do not check temps at all times. Whenever I am playing skyrim, my temperatures on my cpu are 40C, and my gpu does not go above 45C, Could it possibly shoot up and cause a restart during the gameplay?

I am really not sure turkey, I dont know too much about computers. I never overclocked anything, I just usually boot up a game and play. My PSU is not great, I believe it is 500 watt bronze certified maybe? It was the cheapest one I could buy at the time.

Believe me, whenever the computer just shuts down and restarts, it's the PSU's protection circuitry shutting itself to protect the computer. The terms "500W" and "Bronze" are just shadows and dust. They don't mean anything about the PSU are are just letters and numbers. Your power supply is the most likely cause of the issue; it usually is. It can be the motherboard, but it's 90% more likely to be the PSU, and the only way to find out is by replacing it.

Seeing as you don't even know the name of your PSU, it is probably very pitiful quality.

Oh my, yes you can. Raidmax power supplies are quite terrible. Corsair and EVGA both sell poor quality and high quality units (note the word "sell", since they don't make anything themselves). Coolermaster, most of their units are low quality.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it, I will try and see if a new power supply helps, hopefully it will.
