At seemingly random intervals my computer will stutter down to about 75%-100% less frames in games for about 1s maybe less. I don't know what's causing this but I have a Asus Strix 2080ti, OC'd comfortably, liquid cooled 8700k OC to 5.0, 32gb of ddr4 at 3600mhz, 850w PSU. The game where this is most prevalent is CSGO. All in game overlays are all turned off. Also my monitor is a 1440p ultrawide 21:9, and I have also tried other 1440p monitors that are 16:9. No background processes to really speak of, this is a clean install of windows, and drivers ARE up to date.

Solution
how do you mean PL? sorry i'm unfamiliar with the acronym

aslo would my RAM configuration matter? I'm running quad channel
Packet loss

Ram may be an issue. You arent running quad channel, youre running two sets in dual channel, which can stress memory controller, especially with a daisy chain topology motherboard

Ok, here's what im rolling with right now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WVT8SGF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

2 kits of it, 32 gb total

also here's the motherboard.
https://www.amazon.com/ROG-Maximus-...s+xi+wifi&qid=1582222371&s=electronics&sr=1-1

PL didn't seem to be an issue

people discussing the memory said that they've run it with 4.

Also some other variables i didn't include in the initial post:
-im running cable mod PSU extentions
-also running a thermaltake pci16x riser https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-...words=thermaltake+riser&qid=1582222576&sr=8-1 \

I've removed both and neither removal changed anything as i read online that risers can cause some latency problems. Just FYSA I've tested with and without those.

also here's tha aio https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-H115...1582224992&sprefix=corsair+280,aps,164&sr=8-3

Just try removing two of the sticks of ram and see how well that works. Others who reported it working fine may have been using a cpu with a stronger memory controller or a t topology motherboard.
