Question Random stutters during activity

While playing any game, no matter how strenuous, new, old, 2D, 3D, etc. i get random stutters in my system that appear to affect the mouse, audio, and GPU. I don't notice any particular rises or drops in GPU or CPU activity during these times. The only lead I have is that these issues occurred after a recent driver update, but uninstalling display drivers changes nothing, and I have no way of going back to the version I was on (May 2024 AMDGPU). I know this is software-related because my system has never stuttered on Linux.

12/20 is when the drivers were installed. The failures on 12/22-23 were from another unrelated issue caused by PBO. 12/26 is when I tried to fully uninstall the display driver and was eventually successful, but games then couldn't load up a D3D or Vulkan scene.

I've managed to isolate this as an audio issue. The graphics do not stutter, but the audio does and only the audio. Seems to be caused by bluetooth. Monitor speakers = no stutter, wired headphones = no stutter, bluetooth headphones = stutter. Hmmm

Is yuzu.exe the critical failure on other days where you have a red X? Emulators like yuzu are known to be problematic sometimes.
Nope, those were an app I'm developing, where I accidentally but an infinite loop in the GUI thread and that caused those hangups.

I ran Citron (yuzu fork) just now with no issues so I'd say this is solved. Bluetooth still sucks because it's fundamentally terrible, but the stuttering has been fixed.
