Looks ok... striping via the onboard controller never gives peak raid performance but no harm done.

however, I prefer a single velociraptor acheiving the same score, at the same size and the same price... while making less noise/heat/power consumption.

Your score looks like many of my raptor stripes from the past.

You might want to try again on accurate settings. You look like your minimum is way to low for some reason. This is with 2 WD 640s.

Looks low. I agree, make sure your stripe size is correct in the settings. You'll get less minimums and a higher average. I run the same average as you on 2x160GB WD Enterprise disks at 7200 rpm.

P.S. im not too familiar on what works better with raid 0, i always thought onboard motherboard raid 0 was all that i needed.

Onbaord raid is fine. Your score sucks. My average is higher then your max, and my drives were way cheaper and have way more space then yours. I use onboard raid as well. Your drives suck, PERIOD!!!!
