CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the server's RAS port is not configured to
accept remote access connections.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the following steps:
Start the Routing and Remote Access administrative tool.
Expand the options under your RAS server's name.
Click Ports, and then click Properties on the Action menu.
Click the appropriate port (L2TP, Modem, PPTP, LPT1, and so on), and then
click Configure.
Click to select the Remote access connections (inbound only) check box, and
then click OK.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

====I have setup the modem to 'Demand-dial routing connections (inbound
====and outbound) in the 'Port Properties' in the 'Routing and Remote
====Access'. I have no problem in making outgoing call on the modem.
====However whenever I dial in with the username and password, my client
====reports that:
====
====Remote Access Client attempts to connect over a port that was reserved
====for Router only
====
====Modem information the the Port Properties is:
====Name: Dynalink 1433VQE (COM1)
====Device: MODEM
====USED By: Routing
====
====What change do I have to make so that I can connect to my network from
====outside? Thanks.
