I do love seeing automotive and aerospace stuff modified into PCs, but...

It took an entire separate RISC Computer to accomplish this. It just seems pointless, and an example of the nonsensical over-engineering rampant in the world.
(Ex. You don't open your windows on modern cars. The PCM/body modules 'allow you the privileged' to open your window.)

Using analog power ICs for monitoring CPU current seems like a much more 'tidy' way to get an analog gauge of CPU load.

Aside from its bulk, I approve. I think it'd be kind of neat to have some analog gauges on my desk, showing average CPU core clockspeed and temperature. It'd be cute to map a fuel gauge to show the amount of free memory, also.
