I can’t for the life of me get my raspberry pi4 running retropie to connect to my Dell 2007 fpb monitor. Hdmi to dvi goes to sleep and hdmi to vga says ”no vga cable”. Any help would be great.
What HDMI port are you connecting it to? The one closest to the power connector is the main one, so maybe that's why it's not outputting an image. Also, do you have another monitor to test with?
It’s still not connecting to my Dell monitor via hdmi to dvi or hdmi to vga. I get no picture, but if i connect it to the original arcade1up monitor it works.
Is it an active or passive converter? IIRC, if the monitor has only analog connections, you need an active one (and from what I saw in the manual, it's an analog one)
I finally got my monitor to work by using a micro hdmi to dvi-d cable. But now i get black bars at top and bottom of my screen, I’ve tried disabling overscan , manually setting the overscan settings with no change to the black bars.
