Question Raspbian and rasbain Jessie

I use Jessie, mainly because it's what I've developed my video kiosks to run on. If "Raspbian" is stretch-based, it's the more recent release of the Debian codebase.

You can use either, really, and the experience should be relatively the same. "Better" isn't a descriptor that would apply. It just depends on your needs for the platform.

You can actually install both to separate microSD cards, and swap them back and forth to see which one is better for you. It's not like a 4GB to 8GB microSD card costs so much that using two of them will break the bank.
