Just a quick side note, this is a budget build and many of these parts were picked up over the course of 3 months and have had great savings. I don't mind anyone suggesting that a different part should have been picked by any means, but do keep in mind the deals would be pretty insane to beat.

Example -> ($39.99 Motherboard with i5-4690k at $189.99 at Micro Center) <- Example

I'd really love some insight from the pros on what they think about this budget build and their opinions on the parts! Thanks guys, you rock!

Picked up that R9 280X for $160 over christmas! I have a nice 1080p monitor, so I think it should work pretty nicely with everything :)

Lets see

CPU - $189
Heat Sink - $19
MoBo: - $39
RAM: - $49
Storage: - $39 SSD/$39 HDD
GPU: - $160
Case: - $19
PSU - $29

I did a lot of rebates... so many rebates... so much waiting lol.

I just want to make sure the build is actually good, and not just "cheap". I tried to wait for quality parts at great deals

Micro Center, $160 with the purchase of a ThermalTake 1000Watt PSU, bought both, next day I returned the PSU... Yeah, I'm not proud of it but I'm balling on a budget lmao

Thanks! I was on the PcPartPicker Price History charts daily lol

It's a great build though right?

Should OC the CPU to around 4.5GHz, nothing should be badly bottlenecked etc.

No glaring issues I'm overlooking?

Nothing really, its a solid build that can be upgraded to 16gb RAM, it can be O/Ced, and for the price you can't beat the MB unless it was SLI/XF ready but its always better to have one powerful GPU over two* weaker cards in SLI/CF. You have plenty of power for the system and a good aftermarket CPU cooler.
