Powerful build, overall performance would be better with an i7, but i5 4690K is very good for gaming.

CPU cooler is good if you want to overclock, motherboard is great, GPU too 😀.

You have plenty of storage space, PSU is tier 1.

Looks good to me, 4690K good for gaming; check. EVGA Supernova G2 10 year warranty check. GTX 970 good for gaming @1080p check. If you're going to o/c the 4690K you might want to get a better cooler whether the NDH 14http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018. The Z97-A also allows SLI so if you want to add another 970 down the road you'll be good to go.

I dont want a crazy overclocking I just want my cpu to hit 4.2 Ghz

I personally would go for the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming, but that's just a personal opinion.
