Hello there,

I wanted my setup to get rated. My first build was 3 years ago or so. There I started with a budget of 550 EURO and afterwards upgraded it.
These are al my parts: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/6vrgK4

(Some of them are missing due to PCPartPicker not finding the prices or the parts itself so I am going to list the missing ones manually myself with the current price on Amazon below)

-Case: https://www.amazon.de/Sharkoon-NIGHT-SHARK-RGB-PC-Gehäuse/dp/B07GSY1P55/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=1WJFSRVQFP4U8&dchild=1&keywords=sharkoon+night+shark+rgb&qid=1586705962&sprefix=sahrkoon+night,aps,149&sr=8-2

-PSU: https://www.amazon.de/quiet-STRAIGHT-Netzteil-Kabelmanagement-schwarz/dp/B078X1KZ8N/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=be+quiet+straight+power+11+750w&qid=1586705999&sr=8-2

-CPU Cooler: Not available anymore but it cost 60-69 EUROS I believe

HDD: https://www.amazon.de/Toshiba-P300-Interne-Festplatte-schwarz/dp/B013J7IWQY/ref=sr_1_4?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=toshiba+p300+2tb&qid=1586706039&sr=8-4

-Monitor: https://www.amazon.de/Acer-Predator-XB271HUbmiprz-Monitor-Höhenverstellbar/dp/B017DG09WM/ref=sr_1_3?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=acer+predator+xb271hu&qid=1586706109&sr=8-3

-Operating System: Not activated

Here is how the inside looks. Feel free to also judge the asthetics: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EVRS8fdXgAEgmSq?format=jpg&name=large

All around the rig costs 1496,52 EUROS (counted without the monitor which would add additionally 579 EUROS)

I would like to know what your thoughts are on the choices of my parts, whether it's bad or not.
I mostly use my PC for gaming such as: Natural Selection 2, Dota 2, SAMP Multiplayer, Dead by Daylight, Minecraft, Garry's Mod and sometimes other games but tha'ts the most I play currently.
I also sometimes record but that's not happening often.

And lastly a question. Is my GTX 1660Ti enough for a 1440p 165Hz in your oppinion? I always preffer hitting as much as FPS as possible for that 165Hz smoothness.
So yes, do not hesitate to judge my build and make some comments about the money I invested in it.

I think at 2076 euros, you can do a lot better tyhan a 2-year old i5 cpu and a mid-tier 1660ti.

Fpr about the same price, I'm going to suggest this:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (€296.00 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Motherboard: ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 ATX AM4 Motherboard (€159.90 @ ARLT)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory (€189.89 @ Alternate)
Storage: Crucial MX500 1 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive (€127.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Storage: Toshiba P300 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€59.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Video Card: Zotac GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB GAMING Video Card (€731.60 @ Mindfactory)
Case: Corsair SPEC-DELTA RGB ATX Mid Tower Case (€69.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Power Supply: SeaSonic Core GC 650 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply (€74.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Monitor: Dell S2719DGF 27.0" 2560x1440 155 Hz Monitor (€363.58 @ Senetic)
Total: €2073.57

8 core, 16 thread CPU instead of a 6 core, same 32 GB ram, but faster, 1 TB NVMe drive + 2 TB Spinny drive, a Rtx 2080 super gpu (much better than a 1660ti), and a 155 hz 1440p monitor (which teh 2080 can handle, but a 1660ti cant). 650W 80+ Gold Power supply, a less expensive motherboard and case

This will be a much better gamer

Thank you for your oppinion. I do have some questions regarding the monitor though.
Wouldn't it be better to get a G-Sync monitor? Isn't Gsync better than Freesync in terms of performance and input lag nad so on and so forth? And I would rather have an IPS monitor. Even though I stated that I do only play on my computer I am still not a pro gamer. I am really in love with the current IPS monitor that I have. So wouldnt there be any alternatives?

for abut 30 more, we can swap a IPS monitor instead. as for Freesync vs G-sync, almost any monitor that can do one, can do the other.

A 1660ti would be nowhere near enough to play 165hz at 1440p unless you are playing an extremley low task game. I would suggest at least a 2070super. The gigabyte windforce oc 3 fan specifically. Also, don't spend too much on your monitor and you should either upgrade your cpu or downgrade your motherboard, never pay more for a motherboard than a cpu. A rule of thumb for the price of your GPU is it should be 30-50% of your build, not including the monitor or peripherals, if the majority of it is for gaming. The more gaming you do, the more percantage it should cost. So lets just say you are gaming 24/7 and you are starting to stream and you play like 50 intense games, your build is like 1500 euros, so half of that is 750 euros.

To be honest, I knew that it was silly to spend so much money on a MOBO especially with a non unlockable CPU since the MOBO was specifically for CPUs to overcklock but regardless of that I still wanted it cuz it looked cool 😀. Nevertheless I guess it's for the future when I can afford a new CPU again that's better than the current one I have which is gonna be K version.
Same goes for the GPU.
But which graphics card would you recommend me except the RTX 2080 Ti/Super? Is there any other good AMD graphicss card that could rival the RTX 2080 Ti/Super?

Or, more precisely, newer Nvidia cards now support FreeSync. GSync required extra hardware in the monitor, which was proprietary (and thus cost more, because of what I call the "Nvidia tax"). FreeSync is an open standard, used by AMD cards, and now by Nvidia's 10-, 16-, and 20-series cards.

Aside from that, I think @ScrewySqrl 's build is pretty good. I would change the SSD for this one:
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product...tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-wds100t2b0c
It's a little more money, but higher endurance, and is running on NVMe protocol instead of SATA, thus faster in some cases/workloads.

To be honest, nothing comes close to the 2080 ti, maybe the 2080 super. But if you want go for a 2070 super or AMD Radeon VII

You can probably save 500 USD just by doing that.
