This is a new feature intended to:

a) (at some point) highlight top rated posts
b) highlight top rated authors

It is intended to be used to increase quality of posts, and highlight posters that provide real quality content.

I'm sure it's just something like an averaging system where each vote counts from 0 to 4, or some such. So just vote the worst you can if you feel negatively. It's just a matter of perspective anyway.

A 'low' vote is more positive than 'no' vote... so it is all positive. Yes, we could do a negative voting too, but I personally believe in positive 😀

Well, negative or positive, could we at least make the meaning of the little stars a bit clearer? Maybe empty stars could actually be a completely empty graphic so that only positive stars are visible? The coloration method has me foncused. 😳

Why show the all the stars? How about just showing the stars which the post has been rated at. Anyway: 2 secs and MSpaint will have you what you want.

From one what I have seen, most people show all the stars, so that one gets a feeling of the overall scale. Go for it, Ned

Alas, I forgot about the transparency: MSPaint will not suffice.

Not that I'm bothered, but when dealing with stars, it is all ways out of 5...well almost always.
