Question Rather weird problems with my brothers TV

Hey guys,

so I came to visit my brother and as we wanted to watch TV he told me it's broken, so I took a look at it. And as I'm quiet confused by its symptoms, I tought maybe you guys could help me.

So here's everything I know. It's an 8 year old Philips 47PFL4606H/12. The TV is running perfectly normal as long as it says " No Signal", also all the option menus work fine. As soon as we start watching TV or so, it turns off after about 2 minutes. To turn it back on we have to unplug the power cord and plug it back in. If we repeat doing that, it turns of more quickly everytime.

We've tried different cables for power and display, several outlets, as well as different options for the display.

To me it feels like it's overheating but checking the exterior of the TV there's barely anything warm to the touch after those 2 minutes.
So maybe something with the electronics?

Thanks in advance for your help!
