Hey guys,
My computer has always made rattling noises when under high load but more recently it has started to make them all the time.
I can quiet it by pushing one side panel or the other.
But obviously its not a permanent fix, so I completely removed the side panel from the main side and what do you know? 5 minutes later the computer hasnt made any rattling noises at all.
I was wondering if any of you had a more permanent fix?
Here are observations that I have made:
Pusing on the mobo's main power cord reduces rattling,
Pushing on cords in the back of the PC reduces rattling.
Removing main side panel reduces rattling.
Pushing on either side panel towards the front of the case reduces rattling.
Yes I am using a stock CPU cooler, but its quiet when not under load. (At least by my standards)
Ive never heard my PSU making any sounds whatsoever.
Im going to close the case up now, tightning all the screws I see as I go... If it fixes ill let you know!
BTW This is going to be a copy paste thread on Toms Hardware and LinusTechTips forums.
Thanks!
